We would like to thank you for your kindness and material support for the refugee families who have fled Ukraine and have already become members of our school community.
There are 466 students, and the number of children from war-torn Ukraine we have welcomed into our school community has reached 29.
Unfortunately, the situation is constantly changing. The larger our school community grows, the more help we need to make our little guests and their families safe, not only for the time being but for the future.
Meanwhile, we do what we can to make new students feel well taken care of. We serve breakfasts and lunches at school and
organize collections of clothes, toys, and cleaning products. We have managed to complete school layettes for all new students.
Since we know how important it is to break the language barrier, we organize two hours of Polish language lessons per week for our guests from Ukraine.
We also know how important integration is – this is where our school volunteering group is involved.
Last but not least, school parents welcomed families fleeing the war under their roofs.
We want to go on and do more.
The needs are substantial, the long-term help is needed.
